Had this at the Bistro's inaugural hazy ipa festival, held during their 21st annual ipa festival on April 14, 2018. Short version: high hopes weren't lived up to. For a beer in the hazy category, it isn't really that hazy. Slight be thy name. 1/3" white head on top of a coppery color. The aroma was coming up short of expectations for me. Taking a guess, seemed like they had some Citra hops that just weren't top notch or used in a significant enough quantity. Typical quantity/quality chicken/egg like dilemma.
Taste was alright, the bitterness seemed relegated to the 50ibu level, which is a little bit lower than their non hazy efforts. Oh yeah, if you don't know by now, let me spell it out: their non hazy ipas kick the shit out of this beer. Milky feel and low carbonation from a minority report of flaked malt, whether it be oats or wheat or both, I can't tell.
At the end of the day, even though I waited to make this my 11th beer, it just didn't move the needle, and for a brewery as elite as Boneyard at making hoppy beers, this fell very flat. Definite exception to the rule though. First review on BA.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
