a light cream ale with tangerine in it, super summery, but a well made and not so boring cream ale as a base makes this appealing to me as a beer nerd as much as it scratches my itch for a beer i can just drink a ton of. a bit more malt to this than a lot of them have, but still light in body, maybe some corn in the mix, i get a touch of that sweetness to it, but the tangerine is strong enough to plow over any grain sugar, its zesty and natural and pretty robustly dosed. there is a floral note to this, an almost blooming springy vibe, like an orange blossom honey or something, although i dont think there is any of that in here. its gulps down easy, but its not dull, the freshness radiates, the tangerine is obvious, and there is even a little bitterness from the pith or something at the end. essence of lime and sweet lemon there too. great carbonation, which is key for this, and even some hops coming on late, perfect with the tangerine. my lady loved it, and i dug it too. still yet to have a bad beer from boneyard, it was cool to check out their new pub when we were in bend, such an awesome spot with a ton of beers i had never had before!
