This is a dry stout, lighter in body than many stouts. At the same time, it's got an intense flavor of dark chocolate. It's barely sweet at all, kind of like tasting unsweetened cocoa. The cherry is prominent. The roasted malt bitterness is right there.
If this were sweet and thick, it would be a classic "dessert beer". As it is, it simply marches to its own drummer. Unique!
