Really gross. A disaster of a liquid product.
Hops ruined. Malt repulsive. Marketing boring.
What the fuck went wrong here? Was the mission to humiliate and dishonor the best inputs you could find?
10,000% confused by this monstrosity.

Picked this up as a single, I think from New Moon in Truckee, maybe Berkeley Bowl in late 2019.
Pours a dark gold leaning into a honey light amber territory color wise. 1/2" white head. Good retention. Clarity isn't great, but the massive amount of hops in the nose provides evidence as to the source. Cashmere and Citra seem to bring the aroma heft, tangerine, pine, melon and weed. Boneyard is top notch at making hoppy beers, and the aroma for this one is as good as just about anything they've come up with.
Taste is quite the varied hoppy presence. That one top reviewer who lists every possible descriptor for every review in a big block of text wouldn't be far off on this one. Orange, tangerine, pine, melons, weed, onion, garlic, blackberry. Super light body hides alcohol amazingly well, carbonation on point. Doesn't try and be a gloop glop trub hazy beer, has a solid 70 ibu like impression from the bittering hops. They really loaded this one up with hops and minimal malt character, just the way I likes it.

Can to tulip.
The appearance was a semi-soft golden burnt yellow color with a thin white sheet of a head dissipating fairly easy. Light messy lace running here and there.
The aroma had some honey and floral sweet with an appropriate level of danky earthy onion/garlic coming in for a stellar balance. Subtle pine and biscuity malt slides in underneath.
The flavor leaned a danky sweet oniony character initially but developing some bitter grassy tones with some warmth. Mellow aftertaste of honey, grassy/piney bitterness and biscuity malts.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about it. Appropriate carbonation. Plenty of hop powdery dryness but nothing bothersome. Finishes clean with biscuity malts and piney bitterness.
Overall, nicely done West coast styled DIPA well worthy of having more pours!

On tap at Orenco Taphouse.
A clear light yellow with a dense white head with good retention and lacing this looks good. Nose is floral, pine, bitter, potent, grapefruit pith, mild mango. Palate is bitter, floral, pungent with tons of bitterness, oily, resiny, Jasmine, honey. The floral note makes this really interesting and unique, I had to pause multiple times to make sure it wasn't residual soap scent on my hands ( it wasn't ). Medium light in body, softly carbonated. Lovely mouthfeel. Excellent.

This beer is a collaboration between Boneyard Beer in Bend, Oregon, and Altamont Beer Works in Livermore California. This beer fits perfectly with by taste in beer.
Appearance: This Imperial IPA has a yellowish-amber color with an opaque tinge. Very consistent color. Seems very similar to many of the new offerings of Hazy IPA varieties, but somewhat unexpected for a Double IPA. Very thin head that dies down gradually after the pour.
Smell: The smell is very slight of Pine, and somewhat of a peppery character. Does not give much away as to how it will taste. One of the harder beers for me to pick out distinct smells. Was expecting a bit more based on the literature on the can.
Taste: The pine and peppery scent is fully enveloped by tasting. There is also a Citrus that was not easily smelled but a slight hint in the taste. Overall a very complex and unexpected flavor that is a complement to the overall beer experience.
Mouthfeel: There is a good strong sting to the tongue once it hits.Warming quicker than my mouth can warm the beer. Has a strong bodied character that is somewhat oily.
Overall: An excellent laid back drinking experience that exemplifies a very Lupuilin based Imperial IPA. Likeley for those who prefer a more complex beer over something understated and simple. The character of this beer grows the longer you have time with it. An interesting limited run that I expect to be very successful for the hop lovers.
