this is exceptional ipa, double dry hopped without be excessive, over saturated, or green to me in the least, really dialed in. i love boneyard and was so stoked for them to come to idaho, but its been all the classics and nothing new and exciting at all, having this on tap in washington made me wish boise would get a bit more, this seems to me more modern than their greatest hits rotation. cool to see one of these more clear than hazy, well refined honey color to this, fizzy big bubbled white head an inch high from the tap, a strikingly fresh and robust nose, i wish i knew what the hops were, seems more northwestern than southern hemisphere to me, but i get faint kiwi fruit and green grape among the gin botanicals, white grapefruit flesh, and cannabis, lovely profile really, and super simple on the grain side, i already know im going to like this. some neat almost noble grassiness up front in the flavor, unexpected based on aroma but its a cool start to this before the more complex, bold, and fruity hops kick up, honeydew, white grape, good weed, and a little juniper or desert sage, neat bitter herbal finish. the hops are intense, but this is not forced or overdone, and it ends up more drinkable than most double dry hopped brews, clean to me, off dry in ferment, and only medium bodied. super refined, clever recipe, neat mix of hops i would assume, and all around a really sold and modern northwestern ipa, i could drink this one all night.

16oz can from Boise Co-op. Cloudy golden pour, small white foamy head, lacing. Aroma features faint citrusy notes, fruity. Taste follows with more muted citrus flavors, bready malts seep in behind. Mellow for a DDH IPA. Creamy, full.
