Had this at Strange Brew held on May 18, 2019. Poured a yellow pinkish color no doubt from the addition of the hot tamale candy. Almost no head on it, super thin 1/12" white head/film on top. Aroma was kind of the sweeter aspect of the candy, pretty feint overall.
Taste, pretty much exactly like you would think a Budweiser mixed with hot tamale candy would taste like. Rather inoffensive lager base that offers not much in the way of hops, malt or yeast flavors. Its merely the vessel to get the hot tamale feel to you. There is a spiciness that continues to grow in the mouth feel and on the back end of the beer. Its pretty gimmicky and falls into one trick pony territory. Basically a total meh for me, I was over it by the time I was done with my 3 oz pour.
I say they keep this one as a strange brew one off. Although, if you've ever had Brew Brothers beer, you also realize this might be one of their better creations compared to their other standard offerings.
