a truly excellent porter, one of the best in denver and one of the best beers strange makes, if not the single best. its rather authentic, but takes the malt flavor to the next level. rich milk chocolate, bitter dry cocoa, ashy burnt barley, pipe tobacco, and roasted pecans are all detectable somewhere in the flavor, and the finish is big but dry, especially for the style, and there a mild yeast flavor that really unites it all in a fresh baked vibe. super frothy from the tap, holds its head expertly and while smelling true to style, it also has a signature aroma i think, that nuttiness is uncommon, and with the dry cocoa thing its just magic. sessionable for miles too, smooth as butter and low enough in alcohol yet interesting enough in flavor to keep me going for a long long time. good even in hot weather, as its not overly full bodied or anything. impressive porter, i think it sets the standard for the style here, especially for something not imperial or barrel aged or loaded with coconut or something. gives me a new outlook on these guys frankly.

This is quite the quaffable porter from the Strange guys.
Nice looking, dark brown-ruby-black. Sustained head of off tan.

Chocolate, toffee, coffee and some leather are in the aroma. A bit sweet, yet robust.

An easy drinker as the flavors are not over the top. The coffee and chocolate compete nicely with each other, while some sweetness floats in the back ground. Some tannin on the finish keeps the next sip anticipated. Good brew

Pours black with a khaki head and nice lacing. A nice aroma of chocolate and coffee but a great flavor profile to this. Rich and bold; lots of chocolate, coffee, and cream. A full, creamy mouthfeel. Overall, I really really enjoyed this beer. Would love to drink this one again over and over. Going to have to find more Strange Brewing stuff on tap as this is now the 2nd beer of there's I have tried and I have really enjoyed both.

I had this one on tap at Strange Brewing this afternoon. Poured a dark brown/black color with a huge light brown head. Aromas of milk chocolate, roasted malt and vanilla. On the palate, this one is medium bodied, with flavors of cocoa powder, roasted malt and vanilla.
