an ambitious attempt from strange here. poured into a pint glass, which is not the standard glassware. very little head on this one, but a nice golden color. not as cloudy as many saisons either. smells really good, like hay and cut grass, with a funky yeast happening. flavor is not as good as the nose, kind of a dull earthen vibe, without the spicy or fruity brightly carbonated tones ive come to know and love in a saison. also feels a bit heavy for the style, but overall not a bad beer.

First had: on tap at their brewpub / tasting room
Poured a clear bronze color with a patchy white head. This tasting followed their Farmhouse Ale, so I already had some saison on the senses, but I did like this one a bit more, I think because the alcohol took a bit of a step back. Aroma and taste were very similar: sweet and malty, bready yeast, fruity esters, a touch of wet grass, and a moderate mix of hops and spice. Basically a good all-around saison. Medium-bodied and quite drinkable.

I had this one earlier this afternoon at the brewery. Poured a surprisingly clear dark golden color with a good sized white head. Aromas of black pepper, Belgian spice and yeast. On the palate, this one was medium bodied and earthy, with flavors of spices and Belgian yeast.
