Solid gold hued body; lots of gently rising, fine carbonation; dense, creamy, white head. Strong aroma of berries and tropical fruit; mild, bready notes. Bread crust and zesty citrus hop flavor characteristics; mild caramel; fairly bitter finish with some alcohol notes. Heavy body; coarse on the palate; rich residual sugars but not cloyingly sweet; sticky and resinous, dry finish.
A heavy, juicy imperial IPA that is evenly balanced with subtle, rich flavors. Malty character tempered with a dull sweetness and very pleasing hop quality in the aroma and bitterness departments. A very nice find...

22 oz bottle. Pours slightly hazy golden orange with a big fluffy white head that retains well and laces the glass a little.
The aroma is lots of citrus fruit with some piney resiny hops.
The flavor is sweet fruits with a resiny bitterness in the finish. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.
Overall, very similar to the breakfast grapefruit IPA. A very nice fruity IPA.

a lovely ipa on tap at the brewery, golden in color, the lighter side looks wise, but huge in fresh hop flavor, a nice mix of varietals all well balanced. as i sniff through the inch of sticky white head, i am greeted by aromas of amarillo hops, a more grapefruit heavy variety, and the classic bitterness of simcoe (im pretty certain). the grain gives a lot of fermentable sugar (this is over 7% abv), but doesnt impact flavor much. finally a big ipa that isnt trying to be all grain balanced, much appreciated. bitterness throughout the flavor, with some generic hop characters creeping in, but also a pleasant green tea character for just a second. its fruity and juicy too. not sweet though, just right. this might get a bit much after a few pours, but i think its the best beer i have had from strange so far, its absolutely delicious, fresh as can be, and really nice in feel with little bubbles and a puffy expansive palate. they should package this one.
