Poured from a bottle into a pint glass
Appearance – The brew pours a clear golden color with a one finger head of white foam. The head has a great level of retention, fading over time and leaving a good sum of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is lighter overall, but consists mainly of a cracker malt smell and a caramel aroma mixed with some smells of green tea and herb.
Taste – The taste begins with a bready malt flavor that is paired with a bit of caramel and toffee sweetness as well as some lighter flavors of melon and peach. While not present upfront, as the taste advances some herbal and green tea like flavors join in, with both getting stronger as the flavor profile advances. A bit of hay and earth come at the very end as well, leaving one with a mild green tea and bread like taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – THE body of the brew was medium in thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that was average. Overall, the feel was OK for the style and the tastes and made it rather easy drinking.
Overall – Ahh. An OK lager, but the green tea flavors/smell really sorta throws it off. I wouldn’t go back to this one again.
