An old-style Belgian farmhouse favorite, this unfiltered ale is a great summertime quencher. Special yeast and 15% rye malt offers spicy flavors. Noble hop varieties round out this special brew.

Served in a pint glass at the brewery. Pale cloudy yellow with barely a film for a head and not much for lace. The aroma was pretty subtle with musty malt and a hint of spice. The initial flavor was surprisingly big considering the smell - nice sour yeast and a little spice. The spice increased and morphed into a light bitterness in the aftertaste that petered out slowly on the tip of my tongue. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with active carbonation and a dry finish. Overall, this is a nice summer thirst quencher that is true to the style and a relatively big flavor, especially considering the very subtle aroma.
