This is not a berliner. Has more in common with a shandy. Looks like it.

Aroma was lemon, decent, not really a problem here.

Taste, more lemonade than anything. Shandy. The wheat doesn't come out in the mouthfeel. Tastes malternative.

I don't know why but they call this a berlin style wheat beer. Uh, no. While not a classical definition of a berliner weisse, this is difficult to even tangentially say it is a berlin style wheat beer. If I graded it bjcp style, it would be all total "tfw - not to style." Regardless, it looks like a shandy.

Aroma was pretty good, you get the dichotomy of lemons here, some sweetness, some tart/sourness from it.

There was nothing germy or sour mashing going on here. Any tart or sour aspect to the beer came from the fruit addition itself, not any structural machinations of the beer's creation in Sparks. Its a decent shandy. Its not a very good berliner.

Pours looking like a shandy more than a berlinner weisse. To be fair, they call it "berlin" style wheat beer, but nonetheless, it is what it is, a lemonade looking and equal parts beer type of appearance.

Aroma was actually nice, sweet and sour lemons stood out, and it was the most enjoyable part of the beer.

The taste of the beer wasn't as sour as hoped for, it lacked the sour mash berlinner aspect of it, any sour came from the lemon flavor itself, and maybe some orange or tangerine. Its fine for a shandy. I cracked up at the guy a few spots down from me complaining that this was too bitter and sending his beer back. He sent it back for a reason that I found to be too underwhelming to be a repeat purchase.

Needs more wheat in the mouthfeel if they're gonna rely on the lemons to do all the lifting.
