Taster at brewery. Dark brown pour, skin of beige head. Smoky roasty aroma. Taste is roasty with light chocolate, dry, bitterness that you can't shake.

Pours a deep mahogany bordering on black with a caramel colored head.
Smell is bourbon, vanilla, malt, caramel and a slight herbal hop note.
Taste hits hard with bourbon and vanilla notes up front giving way to a chewy malt mouth feel with caramel notes. It has a nice creamy mouth and some nice oak bitter notes along with a slight herbal bite.
This is a real nice barrel aged beer. The bourbon flavor is there without being overwhelming, so that it still drinks like a beer, a big tasty beer.
