Pours a dark mahogany leaning towards black with a light brown head.
Dark whole grain bread, molasses, and fig backed by herbal hops in the nose.
Taste follows nose with nice balance.

Draft at the brewery
Thick frothy creamy head with good retention, good lacing, darker molasses brown color
Nose biscuity brown malts, toasted mild roasted, little coffee toffee and nutty, getting more cashew like nutty, sweet caramel notes, faint cinnamon like baking spices
Taste rich malt, toasted biscuity brown malts, little roasty, chocolate pastry, quite nutty again with more cashew butter, pecan crusted toffee and caramel, med to lighter bitterness with herbal hop notes, semi sweet to drier finish with med bitterness and mild spicy hop, gets chocolaty as it warms
Mouth is med bod but initially feels thicker, med frothy carb
