Sampled on tap at the brewpub Feb. 2005 as a brewmaster's special.
This ale poured a cloudy, golden color with creamy, white foam that settled but clung to the glass leaving lace. The smell was a very strong and fragrant apricot aroma together with a bit of cream (my imagination?). It reminded me of "peaches and cream". The taste was very fruity with a strong apricot flavor. It was tangy with a hint of sweetness. It was very lightly malty beneath the fruit with a very, very light hoppiness, and there was a faint yeast flavor as well. The mouthfeel was smooth and tangy and fruity with light body and modest carbonation. The apricot flavor lingered nicely. I found this beer pretty enjoyable, but I suppose you must like apricots and you must like fruity beers to appreciate it.
