Pours hazy copper with an average, creamy beige head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma picks up malty bread, caramel, grain, toasted malts, earthy, herbal, grassy, and green apples along with some notes of peaches. Flavor picks up average caramel, straw, toasted malts, earthy, herbal, grassy, and average esters with notes of peaches. Medium body and carbonation, low warmth and creaminess with a dry and biting finish. Dry, clean, and crisp beer. Not impressed with this one.

Amber-orange color (was the lighting dim? I show up late).

Not much aroma going on some faint hop/ malt "thing."

The flavor was a let down. Nothing bad, but just so undistinguished. Very muted hop character, and without any interesting malt/ fruity ale fermented character to offer (as in a UK ale) in its' place, this one just underwhelms, although like I said - it's not bad. No off flavors or unpleasant aspects, just so unremarkable.

The bartender told me it was a guest recipe, which didn't surprise me.

Bill: YOU alone are the man there. Guests may drink and eat and use the restroom, but they should not be allowed to brew or lend recipes!

This is a decent beer, but there isn't much to brag about here. It is just a nice light little brew that doesn't really have many complex flavors and only some mild hop notes for an IPA. This is a good beer for new beer drinkers that still haven't quite developed a taste for beer but would like to try an IPA style. This is my first from Mad Fox, and this beer would not make me go out of my way to try more of their beers unless they happen to be around.

Regret ordering a pint without tasting it first. Color is a standard pale gold, good clarity, little to no head. Aromas are weak, smells of light pine and dried herbs. Taste is lackluster. Earthy, sandy tones with a little touch of hop bitterness, almost no backbone, the malt character is a little off, again sandy. Taste like 10 IBU's to me. I love IPA's and this one doesn't do it for me.

On cask at the brewpub.

Appearance and drinkability wise this offering is stellar for an IPA. Aroma and flavor... well.... Yea. Nose had a mild caramel and biscuit presence with faint earthy hops. Taste was pleasant but unremarkable with only minimal hop presence in the long bready finish. A slight buttery/diactyl character distracts throughout. Meh.

On cask at the brewpub a few hours after it went on. According to their update, 60+ IBUs and dry hopped with Chinook.

Pours a darker copper color with a thin white head and a bit of lacing. Nose has faint hints of some pine, earth, and citrus, but not much there. Also the faintest hint of diacetyl, which Amyliz4 can point out like nobody's business. Taste is quite mellow without much hop flavor and a slight malt sweetness. Bitterness is definitely present. Feel is light with low carbonation. Drinkability isn't the best. Unfortunately, this is the first thing here that really disappointed me.
