On Tap
Churchill's Pub & Grille
San Marcos, CA
Hazed dark yellow with a small cap that leaves irregular spiderweb lacing down the glass.
Citrus combine with earthy fun and some pepper make for a nice aroma appropriate for a citrus saison.
Some fruit, bread, mild barnyard funk, and moderate bitterness combine. The flavors are nice enough, though unspectacular.
The failing of this beer, if there is one, would be the mouthfeel. It's too heavy, substantial, and syrupy for the style.
Good, but not great.

On-tap @ Father's Office Culver City.
A: Pours a slightly hazy, pale yellow with an initial 1/4-inch white head which fades to the rim leaving trace lace.
N: Orange and tangerine citrus up front with farmhouse yeast, peppery spice and some floral notes.
T: Biscuity yeast, cracked pepper and spices, fruity citrus is mild but present.
M: Medium body and carbonation. Clean with a dry dusty and yeasty finish.
O: Nice and refreshing and enjoyable.
