Served on-draught into a 10 oz pils glass at Elk Mountain. Reviewed from notes. Expectations were moderately high; I enjoy Elk Mountain's beers. Not paired with food (though free popcorn is available at Elk Mountain).
A: Pours a 1.5 finger head of fair cream and thickness, and good retention. Colour is a clear gold.
Sm: Pleasant orange peel and citrus ester hops. Cream and clean barley. A mild strength aroma.
T: Light orange peel over a clean barley foundation. Pleasant, with some cream on the open. Some light yeasty notes disrupt the finish - very intrusive and imbalanced for a saison, but refreshing and well built. Hot horribly complex, but enjoyable.
Mf: Smooth and wet, suiting the flavours in a general sense. It's also sharp - perhaps overcarbonated.
Dr: Drinkable and refreshing for the style, but also simple and boring. I might have it again, but if you're at Elk Mountain I recommend their darker beers instead.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
