Notes: Below the secret door and a devilish snare of bines rest the aromatic sorcery of thiols. The Soul Hunter's three hellhounds, bound to protect the aromatic sorcery of this fluffy DIPA. The crux of the matter is how to set these thiols free. The prophecy has been foretold that particular hops blended and introduced in harmony will mesmerize the beasts, opening the door and allowing aromas of passion fruit, citrus, and tropical berries to be released.

Poured from 16 ounce can into IPA glass.
Look: Hazy, cloudy yellow with about 2-2.5 fingers of white head with impressive retention.
Smell: Wide array of citrus fruits
Taste: If I were asked to do I blind taste test with this beer and King Sue, I would fail miserably. In my opinion, this beer tastes, smells, and looks like King Sue. Thus, this is also one of the best tasting IPAs that I have ever tried.
Mouthfeel: Moderate carbonation, full-bodied, and extremely smooth.
Overall: Essentially a clone of King-Sue: World-class on every level. This is the second beer that I have given a perfect score to. There is no room that I can see for improvement.

Cloudy, medium orange, light amber highlights, in appearance. Lots of tangerine, tangelo pulp, as if the whole fruit was put into a blender, peel and all, with just a touch of allspice and some medium toasted caramelized malt, giving it an off-dry touch for the flavor, as well. Quite a lot of grapefruit, Mandarin and maybe a little lemon peels, up front. There is some medium toast malt, to provide some body and containment, on the citrus peel barrage, but not much. The citrus peel character is dominant throughout the taste, until the finish. The bite doesn't irritate too much and does trail off, in a fair amount of time.

Yellow gold in color with a hazy complexion. There’s quarter inch of frothy off white around the rim and covering half of the top. Lightly soapy lacing. The aroma is of melon and green veggies. I’m tasting cantaloupe and green veggies. The mouth is creamy and very smooth.

16 oz. Can
PKG: 07/16/21
BEST BY: 11/13/21

Poured into a Trillium glass a pretty nice cloudy pale yellow color, with some pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice thick/creamy one-finger plus off-white head, which also leaves some pretty nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is pretty nice, hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, mango, peach, guava, passionfruit, apricot, nectarine), with a pretty nice diesel like. The taste is very nice, hoppy, malty, with a very nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, mango, peach, guava, passionfruit, apricot, nectarine), with a very nice diesel like. Medium body, ABV is hidden very nicely, with a pretty nice dry/bitter finish. Overall, this is a very tasty beer. Nice to see it around here. Orange Julius! Addictive! MilkShake!

16oz can dated 7/13/21.

Pours cloudy gold with an inch of white head. Retention and lacing is moderate. Dank and juicy in the nose. Cracked garlic, green onions, weed, and tangerine. Medium bodied with a tacky, sticky mouthfeel. Mango, orange, and candied peach on the palate. Finishes with minimal malt or bitterness and lingering dank juice.

A friend from the 'Wego shipped a 4pck of this beer to our Fantasy Football draft which was held at Gunny's house in FLO-RIDA. It poured a hazy yellow with white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had dank stone fruit notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with ripe dank fruit presence that finished slightly bitter. The mouthfeel was medium in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer.

Look: very hazy golden with a thick white head

Aroma: tropical fruit, citrus, a bit floral/pine

Flavor: mango, citrus, maybe blueberries. The bitter after taste is leaning more towards pine resin than grapefruit rind and the aftertaste is shorter. Still it is really delicious like King Sue.

Body/Overall: medium body

Can dated 7/21/21 into pint glass. Pours a murky gold with a persistent, blocky, off-white head. Initial impression is apricot, pine, berries, grapefruit, and a little earthy dankness. Mouthfeel is soft and pillow-y. Finish is more citrus, fading to a slight bitterness. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable DIPA.

Canned on 7/16/21 and enjoyed in a 16oz Founders snifter on 8/26/21.
Appearance: Pours a pale straw-colored yellow (almost a pale watered down orange juice color) with about 2 fingers of foam after a vigorous pour. Very murky and opaque, almost has that look like it would glow in the dark if I turned the lights off. Great head retention and lacing down the sides.

Smell: Nose is brilliant with heavy amounts of grapefruit and subtle orange peel and a bit of lemon zest and melon. Earthy tones as well with sweet smelling grass and floral notes complimented a bit of onion and spicy garlic. Pine and resin also present but are more subtle than the citrus and earthy tones. I almost get a sourdough bread hint as well.

Taste: Wow! A plethora of bitter notes on the front end with considerable amounts of pine and resin, my tongue is tingling after my first sip. Considerable amount of citrus is present with grapefruit and orange rinds and the melon is much more prevalent. Earthy-grassy tones play a supporting role and increase as the beer warms with the perfect hint of garlic-oniony heat on the back end.

Feel: Very smooth. Haze creates a very smooth and thick mouthfeel. A small amount of alcohol warmness but the abv is fairly well hidden considering the 7.8% abv. Perfect amount of carbonation to be refreshing yet smooth.

Overall: This beer is Phenomenal! I would definitely buy it again despite the steep price tag of $18/4 pack or $6 for a single can. It certainly combines the best of the NEIPA without sacrificing the hoppy-piney bitterness we know and love.

16oz can. Poured out a cloudy, golden orange color with a good-sized, off-white head of foam. It left sudsy rings of lace on the glass. It smelled of grapefruit, pineapple, orange peel and toasted caramel. Nice tropical fruit taste with sweet caramel and toffee. Sharp piney bitterness.

Pours opaque light gold--more shimmery straw than citrus juice here.

Aromas of berry, passion fruit, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, apricot, honeydew, papaya, musk melon, and chivy/dank hops. Remarkable that there is so much happening here. Even more remarkable that all of the different fruit notes can be discerned and distinguished.

The flavors are similarly complex. Pineapple and grapefruit on the tip of the tongue. Berry arrives in midstream with melon and cucumber notes joined by white stone fruit. As the brew slides along to the finish, dank herbal goodness arrives, along with papaya, white pepper, and some almost coconut-like sweetness. The booze is just barely there.

Not quite "full bodied" but the brew is no lightweight. Creamy in general on the tongue, it has very long drying finish.

Possibly the best TG I've had since the Sues.

Canned on: 07-16-21

A - Opaque dark golden tan color with dense, creamy, white lacing.

S - Dank passion fruit, citrus, and berry.

T - Follows the nose with loads of dank citrus, passion fruit, peppery citrus rind, and finishes on the sweeter side with lingering spicy citrus.

M - Pillowy soft mouthfeel that's a little chewy, full bodied, and dry on the back of the tongue.

O - This is definitely a solid D-IPA and one worth checking out.

Pours a completely opaque color of grapefruit juice with a finger of head. The nose has exquisite grapefruit notes. The flavor profile also has definite grapefruit notes. The finish has dry citrus qualities but it's not particularly bitter.
