A 330ml bottle with a BB of Feb 2014. Acquired a little while back from Trembling Madness in York. Bring on the hops....

Poured into a Duvel tulip. Bottle conditioned. A hazy golden-amber hue with plentiful fine sediment and light carbonation. Yields a decent head of frothy white foam that lasts for a minute or two before reducing to a surface layer. Aroma of juicy hops with hints of white grape, lime/lemon, citrus, mild melon, grass/hay, faint tropical fruits, subtle caramel malt and earthy yeast. Delicious.

Tastes of fruity aromatic hops with a dry finish. Notes of white grape, faint grapefruit, citrus, tropical fruit hints, grass/hay, earthy yeast, mild caramel malt and stewed hops. Well-attenuated, followed by a crisp, restrained bitterness upon swallowing. Mouthfeel is smooth, dry and tingly, with soft carbonation and good body. Could be a shade more effervescent. Somewhat astringent, accompanied by an aftertaste of fruity aromatic hops, earthy yeast and mild bitterness.

Once again, Kernel demonstrate their mastery at putting aromatic hops on display. Looks OK, while the aroma and flavour are all about fruity, grassy hop notes. Nicely balanced by yeast and subtle malt. Body is alright - would perhaps benefit from slightly enhanced carbonation. A tasty fruit-bomb that goes down a treat. Well worth sampling if you have the chance.

Bottle proved as fresh as it can be, right at the brewery.
Amber yellow color with a two finger head with short retention.
Nice complex citrusy aroma, notes of oranges, tangerines, lemon and pineapple.
Likewise, a mellow super balanced citrus flavor with notes of lemon, passion fruit, pineapple and sweet slightly toasted malts. Finishes with a mild pine and tea bag.
Light body with low carbonation.
Very drinkable and pleasant, this balanced IPA can cover a broad range of fans of the style and curious.
