From Korea to England to the U.S., I just received this beer here in California from a British friend of mine whom I met in Seoul. Worldwide Homicide!
Upon opening the bottle, I immediately noticed a fine accompanying aroma just from sniffing the cap, a sure sign of things to come. Next, the beer was poured smoothly into a clandestine glass, coming out a lighter color than expected, with minimal head much like our experiences in Korea. Taking an initial sip, I was blown away at the multitude of flavors, the least of which was not the plentiful Hops. With a mouth-feel akin to a winter's blanket enveloping my tongue in warmth, it sat for a bit before making its way down to similarly light a fire in the rest of my body.
Overall, out of the few beers I have since being back in the States, this is the best one yet. Ironic in that it is the only non-Californian beer of the group, but at the same time, it makes me excited about what is next. Included in the package from England is three others, all of which I cannot wait to try, and all of which I am sure will match this one pound for pound (pun intended)...

Picked this up at a great little beer store in Arlon, Belgium, Miorge Mihoublon. Bottled March 31st, 2014. Cloudy yellow-amber pour with a one finger off-white foamy head with nice retention and lacing. The nose is perfumey with fresh piney citrus hops along with hints of tangerine, caramel, and grapefruit. The taste is juicy and fresh with tons of floral, resiny hops along with hints of tangerine, pine, caramel, mango, lemon, and grapefruit. The mouthfeel is smooth and crisp with tingly carbonation, perfect balance, and a tangy, bittersweet finish. Overall, yet another awesome beer from The Kernel. Rich and flavorful and hugely bold for a Pale Ale.
