Interesting appearance. Beautiful clear amber with good lacing if you don't pour the yeast in. Pour in the sediment and it gets very murky and cloudy which looks great also.
Smells of oranges and fruity hops. Not super strong but very fresh and hoppy. Marmalade and west coast IPA hoppiness in evidence.
Taste is just fantastic. Bitter followed by sweet fruit and lasting dry finish on the swallow. Very bitter. But balanced with a good barley sugar like malt background. Strong grapefruit aftertaste that really lingers.
Overall this is just a great beer that could be considered an IPA. Super tasty and bitter and complex with different hop flavours and aromas emerging as it warms. Different flavours develop on the tongue for minutes after swallowing. Definitely pour the sediment as it gets dirtier and more complex when you do. Really sensational! Wow! Good lord this is classy stuff.
My mark out of one hundred would be 92.
