A 330ml bottle with a BB of Oct 2014, so it's just out of date. Picked up a little while back from Trembling Madness in York. Hop attack....
A: Poured into a Duvel tulip. Bottle conditioned. A hazy orange-amber hue with fine sediment and good carbonation. Produces a large head of creamy white foam that lasts for a few minutes before settling as a persistent surface layer. Nice lacing.
S: Aroma of amazingly fruity hops with hints of white grape, melon, clementine, citrus, tropical fruit, grass/hay, earthy yeast and subtle caramel malt. Superb.
T: Tastes of seriously aromatic hops with a fruity character and a lingering bitter finish. Notes of grapefruit, orange peel, citrus, white grape, melon, tropical fruit, weed, grass/hay, earthy yeast, caramel malt and stewed hops. Well-attenuated, followed by a strident hoppy bitterness upon swallowing.
M: Mouthfeel is smooth, tingly and dry, with pleasant carbonation and good body. Hop oils tantalise the palate. Pretty astringent, accompanied by a lingering aftertaste of fruity aromatic hops, bitterness and earthy yeast.
O: As always, a lovely effort from Kernel. Looks great, while the aroma and flavour are sublime. Tons of fruity hop notes assault the senses, underpinned by dry yeast and subtle malt. Nice body. Fantastic, and well worth sampling if you have the chance.
