Pours cloudy golden peach into a glass from a bottle. Offwhite head is one finger of sparse, foam that recedes down to nothing after a short moment; but the liquid isn't lively. Chunks of sediment are clearly visible floating in the beer.
The nose is moderate in strength; some definate melon, grapefruit and stone fruit aromas start at the forefront before giving way to some sweet, leafy hops that float beneath the surface. There's a hint of something biscuity in the base but it's hidden well.
The flavour is quite fresh and green. There is sweet green melon start that dominates the front palate, the zippy carbonation rolling grasses, leaves and floral leaf litter around the mouth before it moves to something a little more earthy, peppery and hoppy in the back. There's an aftertaste of tangy sweet citrus, a little pith and plenty of that Huell Melon.
It feels light-medium bodied, a little oily, and without that dry finish which makes it quite drinkable.
Another great APA by the Kernel brewery. This installment is fresh and moreish with some nice tropical fruit and leafy flavours.
