(Cask at Pikkulintu Ruttopuisto, 20250117) The beer poured dark brown and clear. Its head was small and white. Aroma had toasted malts, caramel and earth. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were earth, toasted malts, caramel, toffee and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty and bitter. A tasty malty brew with good toasty notes. Very dry.

An odd sort of beer...and imperial dark mild really. Pours a medium dark brown with small off white head that leaves just a little lace. Nose is sweet, malty, floral, and fruity from the malts. Taste is what you might imagine an imperial mild might be. A touch of roasted flavors more like dark toast than roasted malts, fruity malts, residual sweetness, and a surprisingly high bitterness. Slightly cloying. Overall, an interesting beer that I'm glad I tried, but not something I'd want regularly.
