500ml bottle poured into a goblet; enjoyed in the alley behind the brewery.
A: Clear, deep amber body under a finger of creamy eggshell foam. Good retention, spotty lace. Very nice.
S: Mellow but substantial, this beer smells of orange, grapefruit, grass, and dry, almost smoky malt. Biscuity + citrusy, with emphasis happily on the hops.
T: More herbal (almost minty) than expected, with the grapefruit and malt coming in toward the bitter end. Refreshing, flavorful, satisfying pale ale.
M: Lively medium body; nice soft carbonation.
O: Terrific beer; the hops deliver a range of delicious flavors, the malt provides perfect balance, and it manages to be both substantial and refreshing. Just what I want out of a pale ale.
Cheers!
