Poured from a 330 ml bottle (purchased Jan '12, BB 19.08.13) to a goblet to a very hazy murky amber colour - you can't see your fingers if you wiggle them on looking through the glass to the other side!!! Big thick finger of white head which soon subsides to a half, then a thin layer which covered the surface throughout drinking.
The aroma is all about the hops, most definately citrus notes featuring heavily, to quote but one - grapefruit is the heavyweight here!
When tasting you pick up the rye note in the subtle spiceiness of this beer, hoppy, bitter and dryness all come together and again I get grapefuit more than anything else in the bitter/hoppy aftertaste that ensues. Maybe a little peach? Slightly tarte but this is no bad thing, believe me!
Medium leaning to fuller in body, I'm getting towards the end now, the head is still there but slightly thinner, still the same aftertastes and aroma's . . . another winner from the Kernel boys!
