Bottle from The Good Spirits Co. (Glasgow): New for November 2012.
Cloudy, bright orange to amber colour with a fairly thin and bubbly white head on top that doesn't move much at first before very slowly turning to a thin lacing.
Medium to strong, pine hops aroma to begin with a nice helping of floral hops and some good bitter grapefruit notes following this. It smells refreshing with some summer fruits, a touch of apricot and peach followed by some nice citrus smells.
Strong citrus and floral hops flavour to kick things off, followed by some grapefruit that is a lot lighter than it was on the nose. There is a nice mix of fruits and a bit of citrus and orange with a medium to strong bitter finish.
Medium body and medium carbonation with a nice citrus tang and lots of pine bitterness at the end from the hops along with a fairly dry finish.
Enjoyable but it was probably not up there with the best of the style. The aroma was pretty good with a nice mix of bitter hops and fruit, the taste was pretty similar but not quite as strong and probably not quite as good either but still enjoyable.
