A 330ml bottle with a BB of Sept 2013, so it's a little out of date. Picked up a while back from Trembling Madness in York. Hope it hasn't faded unduly....
Poured into a Duvel tulip. Bottle conditioned. A very hazy orange-amber hue with chunky sediment and low carbonation. Yields a decent head of creamy white foam that lasts for a few minutes before reducing to a surface layer. Some lacing. Aroma of fruity hops with hints of white grape, melon, mango, tropical fruit, lime, citrus, grass, earthy yeast and caramel malt. Juicy but also a tad leafy. Smells pretty good.
Tastes of fruity hops and earthy yeast, with a hoppy finish. Notes of grapefruit, orange peel, citrus, white grape, melon, tropical fruit, grass/hay, earthy yeast, caramel malt and mild stewed hops. Highly attenuated, followed by a spicy bitterness upon swallowing. Mouthfeel is smooth, tingly and dry, with spicy hop oils stimulating the tastebuds. Decent body but uncarbonated and textureless. Rather astringent, accompanied by an aftertaste of fruity aromatic hops, stewed hop bitterness and earthy yeast.
OK, but doesn't stand out as IPAs from Kernel go. Perhaps age has withered it a little. Looks a bit lacklustre, though the aroma is spiky and juicy. The flavour is somewhat less impressive and the body is too flat. Carbonation would seriously improve the experience. Not bad but not amazing - no need to hunt one down.

Poured from a 330ml bottle into a Fullers snifter glass.
Pours a hazy mid orange colour with a thin white head.
Smells quite floral, very fresh - grassy, with a slight sweetness.
Taste is big hops, lots of oily pine with the floral aspect taking a back seat. Hint of sweetness, and minerals, and I could swear a bit of salt too.
Overall a pretty good one, odd combo but a highly original taste.
