LoverBeer "Saison De L'Ouvrier"
on tap @ Open Baladin, Roma, Italia on 29 November 2015
€5 / glass
"Saison De L'Ouvrier" translates to the "saison of the worker"; and is fermented with wild yeast recovered from BeerBera, LoverBeer's sour ale brewed with 20% Barbera grape must and spontaneously fermented with the microorganisms present on the skins of the grapes.
Notes: Slightly hazy gold body beneath a short head of bright white that fades quickly leaving limited lacing behind. The aroma expresses "sourness" via lactic acid, fruit (apricot, tangerine, apple, pear, lemon, slight pineapple), malt, and dried cut-grass or straw. The flavor follows with additional notes of funkiness (mustiness, earthiness, sour sweat). It's not too tart - not puckeringly sharp - and not bitter, but still dry in the finish with some residual soft oakiness and dusty earth. Light-medium in body with a delicately effervescent, fine-bubbled carbonation. Balanced, easy to drink. Quite nice. Unique.

A little initial poop, but settles down to just funky. Very earthy and herbal.

The opening of this beer accompanied by a bang, just like when opening the champagne, fortunately, that beer is left in the bottle. Foam miserable and short-lived, some paints on glass, but whatever foam when flavor started to get out of the bottle was unbelievably "different". The color is orange, cloudy, first thought it was orange drink.
Now aroma: light, refreshing, fruity with a dominant orange, lemon, you can also feel the delicate floral accents, notes of honey, wine and farmhouse - hay,
dust, moisture. The smell is so amazing and strange that the salivary glands really started to work intensively.
The taste is also very light and refreshing (ideal for today's heat 27 ° C), leads the watery mix of orange and lemon juice, to the water after pickled cucumbers, moist grass, hay, and even sauerkraut, slightly sour. Saison de L'Ouvrier is highly carbonated,
This comes to light maturity, astringent bitterness and variety of flavors, oh it was delicious. That can not drink beer slowly. I warn and recommend.
