I enjoyed about 6x 0.5l bottles of this over the course of 2 dinners at the Schneider Gasthof recently. Good stuff!
Pours medium to light copper, and is clear throughout. Slow, steady carbo makes its way up, adding to a full, thick 2" egg-shell/off-white colored head, which lasts and sticks well. Bready and toasty malts dominate, like a good Märzen should. The bier passed quite smoothly on the palate, though it was just a wisp under medium in the body department.
Tastes of light sweetness, with plenty of toasty malt hitting the tongue; a bit bready as well. Has a light touch of floral hops at the finish, without any trace of bitterness, though. Would go down well in a Maß, methinks! A tasty accompaniment to my delicious Zwiebelrostbraten!
Prosit!!
