D's Nut Brown is brewed with English Ale yeast. English tradition uses English Fuggle hops, which are low in bitterness and produce a mild floral taste. The complexity of D's Nut Brown is created mainly by the chocolate and dark chocolate malted barley. There is a roasted coffee flavor with hints of nutmeg in the finish. This brew pairs great with a D's pecan wood-smoked steak.

10 oz draft at De La Vega's with lunch.
Nice slightly reddish brown with a 1/4" frothy tan head that recedes to a ring around the glass, leaving some lacing.
Has a nice chocolate cake smell with just a bit of roasty coffee.
Nice milk chocolate taste with some roastiness and caramel candy. The nice tastes are undermined by the thin, watery texture though, which really saps the fullness of the flavor and washes away the aftertaste.
I could down several of these pretty easily even if it doesn't do much for me.
This beer could have really been something noteable if not for the thin body. Nice smell and taste but could use some work.
