This beer is named after a picture of a camel going up the steps of the building the brewery is housed in. The building was once was a post office.
The beer appears medium bodied brown with a small white head.
It smells a bit nutty, slightly caramel and a bit of herbal, slightly citrusy hops.
It tastes at first slightly smoky and slightly nutty. There is a big malt flavor typical of ESB but it does not have the overbearing sweetness of some ESBs. There is a quite nice citrusy herbal dose of hops to the beer that balances the malt with just the right amount of bitterness.
The carbonation is quite low. This makes the beer lighter and easier to drink.
This is a quite drinkable ESB. I easily had three glasses of this.
A very nice beer from a very new brewery. This in my opinion is probably the best beer they make though the postal porter is very good as well.
A very good dry ESB that is smooth and substantially flavorful.
