Batch 81: A collaboration with Resident Brewing. This recipe includes 2 row, White Wheat, and Vienna malts. In the whirlpool we added Citra, Falconer's Flight, and Meridian hops and packed it full of Citra, Falconer's Flight, and Meridian for dry hopping

Picked this up with a bunch of other singles and a few bombers on a recent trip to Trader Joe’s. Not a Mike Hess fan (the beer, not the man), but lately have been enjoying this Solis series. Gave the #64 a 3.92 in March 2017, #76 a 3.70 in October 2017 and #79 a 3.88 in January 2018. Looked at the back of the can of this one on a recent trip to Trader Joe’s and it looked interesting and pretty complex. The website read, “Batch 81: A collaboration with Resident Brewing. This recipe includes 2 row, White Wheat, and Vienna malts. In the whirlpool we added Citra, Falconer's Flight, and Meridian hops and packed it full of Citra, Falconer's Flight, and Meridian for dry hopping.” Welp. I kind of knew 2 row and Vienna malts, but would be struggling on the hops. Citra? Of course, but hardly familiar at all with Falconer’s Flight or Meridian.
Poured a light amber clear color with two fingers of frothy white head. Lots of fast moving wavy bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass. Outstanding uneven foamy spotty lacing. Outstanding retention. (Sight - 4.00)
Smelled Southern Hemisphere hops up front. Also lemon, white grape, trash, white grapefruit, grass, Citra, herbal and hints of honey. (Smell - 3.75)
Tasted similar to the nose. Very dry. Also white grape, grass, lemon, Southern Hemisphere, herbal, Citra, lime and green leafy notes. (Taste - 3.50)
Medium body. Oily texture. Average carbonation. Abrupt finish. (Feel - 3.75)
This was very good overall. Would probably have it again, although it took a bit to make me like it. (Overall - 3.75)
