Solis (Sunset/West Coast) is our dynamic IPA brand—every batch is a unique San Diego-style IPA—always 7.5% ABV, hop-forward, bone-dry, light-colored and sure to satisfy craft fans and hop heads. Masterfully combining 2-row and other malts, along with new hops or unique hop combinations, Solis allows us to keep our creative juices flowing and your mouth watering. Make sure you ask your server which batch they are serving and try them all! Can drinkers—look on the bottom of your can for a package date and batch number.
Batch 85: Our two Brewers, Paul and Dan, came up with this batch. 2-row, carafoam, rolled oats and honey wheat malts. Kettle and Whirlpool hops include Cryo Cascade and Bobek. We finished of with a generous supply of Cascade and Bobek for the dry hop.

Have been coming around a little bit to Mike Hess Brewing, at least this rotating Solis beer series. This online description (which I had to wait a bit to see if it was a collab, etc.) read, “Our two Brewers, Paul and Dan, came up with this batch. 2-row, carafoam, rolled oats and honey wheat malts. Kettle and Whirlpool hops include Cryo Cascade and Bobek. We finished off with a generous supply of Cascade and Bobek for the dry hop.” I knew 2-row and Cascade out of all the mumble jumble.
Poured a pale-to-gold semi-clear color with three fingers of rocky white head. Lots of bubbles creeping up along the sides of the glass. Excellent layered foamy lacing. Perfect foamy retention. (Sight - 4.75)
Smelled pine, Cascade, floral, grapefruit, orange rind, peach and hint of melon. More peach, nectarine, grapefruit and pine from the can. (Smell - 3.50)
Taste followed the nose. Bitter pine, Cascade, grapefruit, orange rind, peach, nectarine and melon. (Taste - 3.50)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, bitter finish. (Feel - 3.75)
Might have underrated this a tad. Just a solid West Coast IPA. (Overall - 3.75)
