Another review from the March Madness 2017 bottle share. This is prolly my favorite beer I've ever had from Hermitage. Always wanted to check it out, but prior samplings + high price tag always prevented me until someone brought this.

Pours a color indicative of peach, cloudy appearance, 1/3" mostly white head. Aroma was definitely peach, but the commercial tug job regarding some funkified beer seems overstated, has a light white wine barrel impression, but it was pretty much clean peach beyond that.

Taste, I mean, I enjoy the simple things in life, and this is a straight forward peach sour that is neither too sour, acidic, fruity etc. . . hits a nice middling stride. Peach and apricot wild ales seem so easy to do on a basic blonde ale base, no need to reinvent the wheel. If you were to talk about balance in a peach wild ale, this should come to mind, in terms of carbation, sourness, woody impressions, fruit quantity, its all there.

Ditto the first reviewer. Good peach presence in aroma and flavor still. Not overly sour or very complex, but no off flavors. Kudos to hermitage on pulling off a really solid beer in a difficult style.

Sour ale aged for two years with peaches added towards the end, details were limited and given by the bartender. The beer has a nice golden hue with a delicate peach nose and decent head retention with some lacing. Taste is full of juicy peach, sourness is very soft with a hint of funk at the end. Thin mouthfeel but again, soft on the palate with not a lot of lingering sourness, finishes very clean. Overall, a soft sour with tons of juicy peach. Interested to see what age does to this as the fruit falls off and the bugs take over.
