The sum is better than the parts, but overall would be a good alternative to a typical weak, light beer.

6/27/17...pours greyish/green yellow. White foam, active bubbles. Citrus nose and sharp lemon flavor. Smooth, crisp and refreshing. Nice starter in its simplicity.

Cloudy yellow with some floral notes on the nose.
Smooth, slightly creamy with a little sourness on the finish.
Not bad, pretty basic blonde.

Quite perfectly blonde in every way, quite "blonde" in color, perfectly clear with some fine rising bubbles, not bad on the head and lace for a draft pour.
Grainy and a touch grassy, with a smidge of maltiness and a lack of overwhelming-ness that's desirable in a blonde ale. Really this isn't a style that's meant to have a ton of aroma or flavor, and thus it's not that easy to hide the flaws either. I find few flaws in this blonde ale. Per my tastes could maybe use a touch more of a grassy or earthy, subtle hop (I'd use willamette). But still it's quite good as is.
Body is smashingly thirst-quenching, with just a tiny smidge of sweet and slick on the finish.
An excellent example of the style, and a must-try.
