generally not a fan of the flavored types of beer, but this is pretty awesome, a lemon poppy seed wit that is bang on with the flavors and proportions, and is most importantly, a beer first and a flavored beer second. neither of these ingredients are over the top, which is my most common criticism of these types of brews. the lemon and the wit yeast work together like champions, with the lemon sort of filling in where orange peel would normally be with a little zesty brightness and then a balancing bitter element as well. the poppy seed almost seems to contribute more to the grain side than anything else, like they may have been part of the mash, contributing their characteristic flavor and a little gritty texture as well. very subtle on both, but also very recognizable and authentic. the base witbier could stand on its own too, very good and a little more hops than most, but these two extra ingredients really make it distinct. i really enjoyed all the beer here, it was creative and very well executed, and i think these guys deserve more recognition than they get for beers like this. perfect for the coming warmer weather!

Truly a strange brew, almost looks like a banana daiquiri, banana yellow and turbid-cloudy, not a ton of head or lace.

Typically witbier in aroma and taste, with some coriander and spice notes, and I dare say even some detectable poppy seeds, or at least my brain thinks so.

Thick and chewy, yet super easy drinking, it's almost hard not to chug it. Very tasty and interesting selection.
