Draft at Open Baladin Roma in Rome, Italy.
Pours a dark brown, almost black color that's completely opaque with a three finger pillowy beige head. Great retention, slowly fading into a lasting ring. Streaks of soapy lacing left behind.
Complex aroma with roasted malt, zesty spice, farmhouse funk, bread and dark fruit. Hints of chocolate, toffee, caramel and coffee bean but still vinous and earthy/funky.
Medium bodied with a strange combination of roasted malt, zesty spice and farmhouse flavor that results in slightly herbal/medicinal feel. Slightly syrupy with caramel and toffee sweetness along with pepper, earthy hops and barnyard farmhouse notes. Really weird.
