Pours mahogany with reddish edges, off white head. Smells of weak coffee, and not much else. Taste is roast malt and stale coffee, some bitterness from somewhere else. Mouthfeel is really thin, carbonation is high and prickly, off dry and tannic. Not really impressed with this one, I could homebrew better than this. It seems like nothing really stands out in this beer, and the carbonation washes washes away any flavor that would linger.

Newish Nanobrewery. First time I've seen it though a couple beer blogs have mentioned them.

Aroma - Lightly roasty and some sweet base malt. A little bit of fruity yeast esters but not a whole lot going on in the nose.

Deep brown even held up to the light it just has some more brown around the edges with a little light getting through. Poured with a small white head that ends up a thin off-white layer that leaves a little lacing.

It's O.K. There's a decent roast malt component but also a sour effect from some black malts. Pretty hop bitter too. Mid glass it starts to seem more base malt sweet but the high level of black malt flavor, for me, is what's really making it bitter.

A little thin bodied with good carbonation level.

Again, it's O.K. Not a bad stout but not one that will stick in my mind and make me want to get it again if there are other choices.

Thought I'd give a new local brewery a try. From the bottle:

Pours black with a small head. Virtually no smell to this beer which was a bad sign.

Some roasted notes but overall rather bland.

Thin mouthfeel.

You could drink a lot of this but why would you want to? They need to work on improving this beer imo.

In a bar in clallam bay in late December. Drove by the "brewery" it is his house. Gave him a call, and the guy who answered said it was the wrong number. Was wanting to meet the guy. Nice house though. Anyway.... review from notes from the bar, clallum bay inn...
12 oz bottle with a paper label...Pours a nice dark color with a bit of head. some nice creamy yeast at the bottom of the pour. Some coffee on the nose, smells a bit light. I won't lie, it isn't great, but hey, this is very welcome up here. I am sitting in a bar and am happy to have some craft beer, Congrats on the brewery, wish I could have met you. Taste is a bit light, coffee, some smoke and rosateiness. Very nice and creamy, but, just an average stout. Bonus points for location for sure.

A: Poured a think jet black with more than enough carbonation and a tannish head

S: Pretty faint with some light espresso and grains

T: Faint roasted malt, cocoa and hit and mis on the coffee

M: Lighter bodies, thin mouthfeel

D: Average stout. Not bad but definitely unexciting
