an almost lemony yellow hazy ipa, super soft looking, uniformly cloudy, and about as pale as this sort of thing gets, almost milky in the glass, but not sloppy either, well enough refined looking under a lasting white head. the nose is citrus forward hops, lemon and lime to me, with an herbal backing of verbena, lemongrass, even thyme, and there is plenty of bitterness apparent as well. not at all over hopped, and with some neat green freshness. the malt base is wheaty here it seems, some raw too even, its fuller and earthy, dry as can be, cereal taste to it, simple but right for these hops, which climax in about the center of this, and finish on the bitter side, green grape and kiwi notes here, even a melon thing, but its all well balanced and not trying to do to much, no three times dry hopped or anything, but its not conservative either, and for being a little amateur overall, i think its a good recipe. i like the roundness of feel, the bitter after the fruity, and the high carbonation. these guys dont have a great reputation for whatever reason, but i liked both beers i had when i was in. this is distinctive and better than decent.
