This is a really good porter although I find it inferior to the Auger Falls Dark Amber ale from the same brewer.
Basically black, it has a faint hint of light and a thin tan head soon thinning to a ring.
Aroma is rich caramelised candied coffee, hints of earth and toast.
Taste as similar to the aroma with dark toast, some earth, and a light coffee element, although drier than the aroma would indicate and more like a dry coffee character than the caramelised candied coffee implied by the aroma. Taste overall is lighter and less complex than the Auger Falls amber and it is solid
