Darker gold approaching amber color. Crystal clear. Small but lasting head which produces slippery lace after each sip.
Camomile and lavender are the first smells. In short, very flowery. In the background I pickup some fresh sage and thyme. Attractive with no notable yeast.
The taste start with the semisweet pale malt. This becomes increasingly drier as the taste continues. The body and carbonation are as expected for a Saison. The finish becomes increasingly bitter as the spice (ginger, thyme and sage) takes over. Again, no yeast overtones which is my personal preference.
