Crabbelaer is a new beer brewed in Ghent. It has a lightly acidic flavour underpinned by outstanding bitter notes that make it the perfect aperitif drink.
It is a top-fermented beer made with three varieties of malt and a rich aromatic duo of hops. It is characterized by a creamy head with a slight cloudiness imparted by the wheat malt and yeast used. It lingers long on the palate with hints of apricot and pineapple. 6.5 Vol% alc and 35 EBU.

Cloudy blonde beer, minute lasting head. Soft, almost cotton like acidity in the mouth. Rather dry but pleasing aftertaste. Easy to pair with wide range of foods.

Very good beer. I drank it as an aperitive on the recommandation of a friend and I’ve got to tell: he was not lying at all. Cloudy, creamy top, nice bitter flavour and not adhesive. Floral/spicy, I think I tasted citrus and orange peel, and bitter aftertaste. Idealy suited for receptions and before dinner to warm up the taste. My kind of beer.
