from UnTappd (altho they list it under Brouwerij de 6 Helmen, same label but my copy says it is brewed at De Graal-- (sort and speak Flemish anyone?)
With Crabbelaer Hommage, we pay tribute to what makes Ghent great: craftsmanship, culture, and stories that continue to resonate.
Amber-colored, top-fermented and refermented in the bottle, this artisanal tripel carries the richness of three grains, barley, wheat, and oats... refined with premium Belgian hops.
The flavor profile is expressive and refined: it opens with notes of pineapple and passion fruit, complemented by a subtle hint of caramel on the nose. A noble, fresh bitterness flows generously, carrying a spectrum of fruit aromas into an elegant finish.
With 7.9% ABV and 35 EBU, Crabbelaer Hommage invites slow, mindful enjoyment.

Whoever the brouwerij is, there is this symbiotic contractual thing between De Graal and 6 Helmen. Maybe someone who knows Flemish law and customs can sort out whose recipe it is. But regardless of the sort, I give de Graal good Overall Hugs for brewing.
Crabbelaer Hommage is a decent tripel. Like many, it is yeasty and foamy and fruity and spicy. It does most of these triple things above average. Except it Smells average, fruits are not distinguished. I'd probably have it again, but I rally doubt I'll find it again except in Flanders... which is always a nice place to visit.
