Undated 16oz. can. Mine reads 7.5% ABV. IPA brewed with galaxy, enigma and sultana hops.
There's an unfamiliar flatness when you crack the tab; like it's barely carbonated at all or something. Looks like a hazy (sigh - if it had said hazy or NE instead of just "india pale ale" on the label I wouldn't have bought it) banana and citrus smoothie with a big 'ol thumbprint of head. So it is properly carbonated. Smells awful onion-y. Chives too, perhaps. And not raw veg and herb; this is more like freeze dried and reconstituted veg and herb. It's not my favorite scent. There's perhaps some mango in the sniffer department as well, but its hard to track through the onion stank. Drinks a little smaller than it's ABV, but mouthfeel is actually the beer's only strong suit. It's got a soft chug-ability that would suit a tastier brew rather well. Tastes largely as it smells; just onions and earthy hops. I don't think any of these hops are known for those qualities, so this is a bit of a head scratcher. Maybe it's just some wicked alchemy based on this particular combination. There's some pleasant tropical notes (mango in particular) around the margins, but it's not enough to distract from the onion-centric-ness. Not crazy about this one, personally.
