Funzen /ˈfʊnt͡ sn̩/ is the German word meaning “to function”, or “to work”. With that in mind we wanted to build a full flavored beer for exactly that!
Funzen Pils is a 5.5% ABV German-Style Pilsner. Build on a base of 100% premium German sourced Pilsner malt, hopped liberally with German noble varieties in the kettle, fermented low and slow with special selected expressive German yeast, and lagered for an extended period.
This all manifests into true imported European lager nostalgia. A backbone of freshly baked biscuits, with a crispy dry finish, and just enough floral grassy bight to keep you coming back for more. All rounded out by that European intangible characteristics. A perfect beer for when things need getting done!
