10 oz. in stemware at the brewery in Portland, Maine.
Appearance: Pours a clear amber brown with a one-finger eggshell head.
Aroma: Somewhat faint nose with some nuts and toast. Maybe some faint caramel or toffee.
Taste: The taste is a little stronger than the nose, but it's definitely mild for sure. Toffee is there along with some dry dates or something in the background. Faint nuttiness.
Mouthfeel: Pretty light of body. Not a palate obliterater, as you've probably guessed.
Overall: Nice off-season dark beer. Not a huge beer, but a nice way to break up all the wheat beers and saisons that flood the market in summer. Enjoyed this on their patio on a breezy summer evening. Tough to complain.
