from 16oz can dated 02/15/17

Pours a clear, deep golden color with a bright white fluffy one-finger head. Lacing is thick, nice carbonation trails

Aroma is hoppy, though smells more like a german beer than a standard east coast IPA. They use El Dorado, Mandarina and Bravo hops... maybe these explain it (I've not the nose for hop varieties). Personally its not an aroma I enjoy.

The taste is also hop-forward and floral - quite pleasant. It feels like there is very little malt behind this beer, but that works for me in this case. The shtick with this beer is the blood orange peel and it comes out most in the aftertaste along with a sweetness from caramel malts. Between that and the floral hints in the flavor I think this beer really shines. Bitterness is moderate.

Mouth feel is dry and crisp without a speck of stickiness. Moderate carbonation teases the tongue and there is a nice buzz to the palate long into the aftertaste.

Overall this is a great beer. As stated above I'm not a fan of the aroma. I think the choice of hops is better in the taste than the smell... however if you like the smell of german beers then this will be a treat. This is a collab with Foundation which makes quality beers IMO, and I am looking forward to seeing what else they come up with. I feel like this is an experiment to branch off of the regional variety of floral, hop-forward, sweet-but-low malt, low bitterness IPAs. They found their own path to the flavor, though not unfiltered and hazy, and it is successful.
