Impressive 3-finger head on a neutral pour. Hazy dirty gold color. Regular rings formed after each sip with streaks and spots in between.

Floral hop up front with an attractive caramel background. Mild bet on a subsequent smell.

Malty base that gets subsumed by the strong earthy hop. Very long aftertaste. Lower carbonation with a neutral body. Dry malt with a powerful, biting bitter swallow. Not quite extreme but close.

From a 16 oz. can dated 09.28.20. Sampled Jan 31, 2021.

The appearance is a murky, hazy looking yellow-amber with a frothy ivory head and lacing.

Tropical fruit such as guava becomes front and cent5er in the aroma with a more subtle cereal grain base.

Smooth, medium mouthfeel.

The fruit shows itself in the taste too but maybe since this is four months old, I am getting a slight stale cardboard hop character. Another one of those beers I should have tried when it was more fresh.

A dark yellow color, a little hazy and not much foam from the pouring.

I'm still a beginner at this so taste wise, a little fruity, exotic fruit, like pineapple, orange, at first then get malty toward the end.

Overall a very good IPA

Can to tulip.
The appearance was a mild dark yellow to woody orange color with a finger's worth of white foamy head softly sliding off to leave some messy lace.
The aroma had a ton of grapefruit pulp up front with some zesty hop spicy tones and a little bit of pizazz of orange rind and passionfruit. Wonderful fresh to subtle mineral water sort of backing throttling the malt backbone further back.
The flavor takes all of those prior mentioned aromas to blend together through sweet and zesty/bitter/subtle spicy notes. Subtle sticky malts (somewhat biscuity). Mellow aftertaste of biscuity malts balanced by the zesty sweet and bitter hoppiness.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about it. Plenty of bitterness stifles its ability to gulp. Good carbonation as an American IPA. Finishes with some zing but slightly toned down with some malts being able to balance.
Overall, pretty nicely done American IPA, I'd have again!

Poured into my new favorite Hopslam glass canned on 1/11/19. Pours a fairly cloudy yellow, with a 2 finger sticky white head, that leaves huge rings of lace with excellent retention as it slowly settles into a thin layer of bubbles. 4.5

Smell is loaded ripe honey dew, orange rind, passionfruit, herbal earthy notes, and just a tiny hint of grapefruit very nice! 4.5

Taste follows a really nice Mellon thing going, orange, passionfruit, once again some herbal thing I can’t truly explain but it is nice, pineapple, and very mellow balanced grapefruit this stuff is not a joke at all. 4.5

Mouthfeel is a solid medium, gentle soft carbonation, not dry but a little stickyness for sure, and drinks a tad bigger than 6% but dangerously crushable. 4.5

Overall I am trusting digging this one, balanced and truly a tasty treat. Highly recommend this guy. 4.5

Canned on 1/11/19 opened on 1/26/19

A lightly hazed, certainly unfiltered golden color. Soft and vivacious foam top, sticky lace and constantly creamy topping makes it look pretty nice.

The aromatics from the hops are very inticing. Sweetly tropical fruits, bright citrus and bananas and cream leaves me saying "wow". What a fun nose. The malt seems light and creamy with wheat and spicy grasses.

The mouthfeel and texture precedes the flavor, as the fresh, light but CRAZY smooth effect really makes an impact.
Healthy!

The hop complexity within the taste is very impressive, as the earthy, tart and grainy hop effect dances all around the palate. The zippy malt hits you as crisp, herbal and golden Then it's Sharp citrus, starfruit and mild mango. The citric and earthy bitter tones hit hardest overall.

A very tight version of an American IPA.
